Was fun to play something new and then in the end, really enjoy it. A lot of strategy goes into it but it is not that hard to learn.
We originally liked this because our family loves cats, but the game was much more competitive than we expected. The action cards changed things at the perfect time and no one felt completely out of it. Very fun family game.
Nobody could keep a straight face when one of the cats went sliding down the building. Even the person who lost their cat was laughing. The game stayed close until the end we played a couple of more times.
At first the kids just moved whatever cat they wanted but they started planning more after a few turns. It was fun watching them figure out the best way to get to the top.
It was fun putting and setting it up and we had no issues learning the game. We liked the cats and all of us named our own. This was fun and will play it more and more.
The kids understood the basic idea quickly and immediately got competitive about reaching the top. We finished one game and started another right away.
My family had a great time playing this together and the kids were asking to play another round as soon as we finished. The magnetic cats are so cute, and it got pretty competitive but in a fun way!
The vertical board and magnetic cats make it feel completely different from other games we own, and the action cards kept everyone laughing and competitive until the end.
The game looks simple at first, but deciding where to move your cats actually takes some thought. A few rules needed clarification during our first round, but it became much smoother after that.
Brought this out with some friends over the weekend and it was way more competitive than any of us expected. It's quick to learn, the magnetic setup is really cool, and knocking each other's cats down had everyone laughing.
This creative, strategic game will make you and your friends either hate or love each other. The way you play this game brings a whole new meaning to the world board game which to me was a first and a delightful one to say the least. Kitten cards were very cute and relatable to cat owners as well as very applicable to the game. I almost never had to discard any of the cards which was a positive feature. The idea of the game reminded me a lot of previous games I've played such as snakes and ladders or ludo, but way more thought out. The only thing I believe could be improved are the game instructions which proved to be quite complicated - especially for the age group suggested to play the game.
SkyScratchers is a really strategic and fun game to play with your friends. The game is really rewarding if you plan your turns carefully. The only thing that could be improved is the manual. I don't think it explains the game clearly, so It leaves a lot of doubts for the players to decide, and that can be very chaotic.
